Our 2023 LFBF YF&R Leadership Conference will be meeting at the Renaissance Baton Rouge Hotel (7000 Bluebonnet Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA 70810; Phone 225-215-7000). We will begin Saturday with a tour of LSU Tiger Stadium. Seating over 100,000 fans and nicknamed “Death Valley,” poll after poll has proclaimed Tiger Stadium as one of the greatest sites anywhere for a football game — college or professional.
Our featured keynote speaker is Braxten Nielsen. On August 31 2017, Braxten Nielsen’s life changed forever. He attended a rodeo just like any other day… except this day was different. This day would leave him with a 5% chance to ever walk again. There are some individuals who stand out in a crowd leaving an unforgettable impression on those they meet. These people are few and far between- Braxten Nielsen is one of them.
We will end the day with dinner at Top Golf to enjoy a fun filled evening! They’ve got a bunch of stuff that makes them golf: clubs, balls, tees, turf, a ball-picker-upper-cart thing, etc. They also have a whole bunch of stuff that’s not golf: loud music, giant targets, giant TVs, and a hand-crafted food & beverage menu. Put all these things under one roof, and you’ve got yourself a good time. So, consider this your formal invitation to grab the fam, a few friends, or some coworkers and come play around.
At this conference we will be collecting new or gently used shoes, as well as monetary donations, to benefit the scholarship in memory of Kaylee McLain, Vermilion Parish Honorary Board Member.
Rates for this conference are $250 (single occupancy) and $200 (double/triple/quadruple occupancy). This fee includes meals, transportation, tours, entertainment, and lodging. THE REGISTRATION DEADLINE IS FRIDAY, JANUARY 20, 2023! Registration for this event, and future events, will be done online. Please send payment to the State Office just as it has been done in the past. No refunds will be permitted as guarantees are required for meals, hotel rooms, etc.
