The American Farm Bureau Federation Young Farmers & Ranchers and Women’s Leadership Committees will be hosting their annual AFBF FUSION Conference on March 15-18, 2019 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In an effort to increase involvement of the Louisiana Farm Bureau Young Farmers & Ranchers and Women’s Leadership Committees, we would like to open up registration to YF&R and WLC members across the state. The state office will release information to parish presidents and parish chairs as we receive it from AFBF.
Travel accommodations, hotel reservations, registration, and payment will be the responsibility of those who would like to attend; however, you can contact the state office with any questions regarding the conference.
The American Farm Bureau Federation has finalized the cost for 2019 FUSION. Early bird registration will be $285 per person and regular registration will be $340 per person. Registration deadlines will be confirmed later this summer, but early registration will close in mid to late January and regular registration will close in mid to late February. Each registration includes the opening reception, keynotes, breakout sessions, Collegiate Discussion Meet rounds, networking lunches (Saturday and Sunday), Saturday night entertainment, a program dinner banquet on Sunday, basic tours (some will have additional charges), and the Monday Grand Finale event.
The Hilton Milwaukee City Center is contracted with a room rate of $145.00/night (plus tax) and the Hyatt Regency Milwaukee hotel is contracted for $142/night (plus tax). Both hotels offer complimentary Wi-Fi and are connected directly to the convention center via sky bridges. AFBF is currently working to set up specific instructions for booking rooms, and that information will be released later.
It is important to note, while the registration costs and room rates have been released, the registration website and hotel booking is not yet active. When we are notified that online registration and hotel booking is open and active, we will forward that information on to you.
In addition, we are now offering to send YF&R and WLC communications electronically. From now on, if you would like to receive communication via email, instead of hard copies via regular mail, please contact the State Office to update your email address as soon as possible.
This is an exciting opportunity, and we hope to see several Louisiana faces in Milwaukee!
