We have scheduled a visit to the State Capitol on Tuesday, May 27, and I strongly encourage each of you to take the time to attend!

The Women’s Leadership Committee state capitol visit has been such a huge success, that we
are opening up the event to WLC District Directors, Alternates, and Parish Chairs. Due to the
small size of the room where lunch will be held, we are asking that only committee members,
alternates, and chairs (no guests) attend.

Tentative plans for Tuesday the 27th are to meet in the Rotunda of the State Capital at 10:00 a.m.; visit with the Mapes for a debriefing of current issues and topics; visit and observe various Committee meetings; have lunch with the Acadiana Delegation; and visit the Senate and House chambers that afternoon. The State WLC Pre-Convention Meeting will be held at the State Office immediately following the conclusion of capitol day activities.

So that Megan can finalize overnight arrangements and meals, please RSVP no later than Tuesday, May 13.

Parking in Downtown Baton Rouge is public. The parking lot between the capitol and the river have been our best options in the past. Please do not hesitate to call if you have any further questions. Looking forward to seeing you then!
