Our 2019 Women’s Spring Conference will be meeting at the Courtyard New Orleans Covington/Mandeville (101 Northpark Blvd., Covington, LA 70433; (985) 871-0244). Located off I-12, this hotel provides easy access to some of the area's best attractions. Relax in the spacious accommodations boasting stylish décor. Each room offers free Wi-Fi, premium cable, flat-panel TVs and plush bedding. Complimentary hot breakfast including scrambled eggs, Canadian bacon, assorted pastries and breakfast breads will be served in the meeting room on Saturday morning.
On Friday, we will begin with lunch at White’s Seafood and Steakhouse, with the best seafood buffet you’ve never heard of, they’ve been serving great food to the north shore and surrounding area for over 20 years! Our first tour will be at Iverstine Farms, a family owned and operated farm located in the rolling hills of St. Helena Parish in Kentwood, LA. The Iverstines number one mission is to build healthy topsoil on their farm. They raise all of their animals on pasture using Managed Intensive Rotational Grazing, which allows them to raise animals as close to their natural environment as possible. Our final tour will take place at Liuzza Land, a family farm operation that has been providing fresh fruits and vegetables all over Louisiana for five generations. Following the tour at Liuzza Land we will enjoy a delicious dinner at The Greenery at Liuzza Farms. Saturday morning we will have a dynamic guest speaker. A tentative agenda is attached.
Rates for this conference are $250 (single occupancy) and $175 (double, triple, quadruple occupancy). This fee includes lodging, transportation, tours, and meals. THE REGISTRATION DEADLINE IS FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 8! Registration for this event, and future events, will now be done online. You may register attendees for your parish at https://wlcspringconference19.eventbrite.com/. In order to prevent incurring fees, we have listed the event as free. You will notice that single and multiple occupancy costs are listed separately within that section.
