Our ongoing commitment to supporting our veterans is a testament to the values we hold dear as a Women’s Leadership Committee. I am writing to provide a comprehensive update on our 2023 Veteran’s Home Project, including donation requests, event schedule, and instructions for contributing to this noble cause. 

Donation Requests:

Our success in improving the lives of veterans at the federal veteran’s homes greatly relies on your generous contributions. We are seeking donations in various forms:

1. Monetary Donations: Financial contributions are instrumental in covering essential supplies and recreational activities for the veterans. Monetary donations must be sent into the state office with “2023 LFBF WLC Veteran’s Home Project” to receive points in the awards book. 

2. Material Donations: Donation of physical goods such as aftershave, diabetic socks, pajamas, snacks, and toiletries are also highly appreciated. Of special note, these items will only receive points in the awards book if your parish is present for the in person visit and or submits appropriate documentation (description and photo) in the awards book regarding your donation outside of the scheduled visits. 

3. Volunteer Time: We welcome volunteers to dedicate their time and expertise in engaging with the veterans, organizing the visits, and assisting with various tasks.

• Please send all checks to the State Office at the below address with “2023 LFBF WLC Veteran’s Home Project” in the memo by November 30 (less points will be awarded to parishes turning funds in after this deadline):
